Case: a manual for students to become a member of a closed Facebook group

For the course ‘family-orientated working’ the teacher works with a closed group on Facebook.

In a first step of the process, the students could have a say about using Facebook (often with their private account), or an alternative solution (such as Edmodo) which would require making a separate account. The vast majority of the students preferred Facebook.

This manual was written to guide students, for example to find the group, but also to set their privacy settings in such a way that their messages on this page would not be shared involuntary.
