Tools and software to develop learning objects yourself
You already find digital tools in the module ‘Design’. After that, you will find practical information and tips on using software tools during the development of your digital learning objects. Obviously you do not use all these possibilities and usually, you already have made a choice or preference list on what tools you will use. Use your preference to find specific details in the offer.
Besides the development of learning objects, you also want to be able to offer them to your students integrated in a course. You can do this via a digital learning environment, but it can equally be done by an authoring tool (Xerte, Youdipity, CourseLab, Udutu …). This is a type of tool that allows you to create different kinds of resources within the same tool and to combine them in an integrated way. You can also add your own customized learning objects. An authoring tool allows you, to create everything easily in the structure of your choice.
