Criteria that may determine your choice

Below, you can find a brief discussion of tools for each type of learning object. Your choice for a specific tool will ultimately depend on:

  • The functionalities of the tool
  • The price of the tool
  • The learning curve of the tool
  • The compatibility of the created learning objects with the required platforms

 

This list is obviously time-bound and not exhaustive. Besides, there is never a “best” tool, because a lot depends on the knowledge, circumstances, new developments, technical limitations etc. Tomorrow, other tools may become available or  well-known. Get informed frequently about new opportunities, e.g. via the be-odl website or teaching tools.
